International Food Festival

This last Sunday was an International food festival at St. Thomas More Church. As you may already have figured out there was a multitude of multicultural foods. We ate it. But what you may have also thought about did they have different types of performances from the various cultures? Why yes they did! You have won a cookie! So I took a few pictures of my favorite performance of that day....

It was Suite

For Gail's loyal crew of pandoval voters, for the all star game, Gail was able to sweet talk a Suite for us as a thank you. It was, well sweet. Here's some shots....

On September 5th I went to Pt. Reyes with Gail and our friend Kristina. I didn't realize until the next day that my camera was set to B&W mode. I think the photos still turned out good so here are a few....

San Mateo County Fair

We helped out Alex at the College of San Mateo table at the San Mateo County Fair. I volunteered to be the bulldog mascot for about an hour in the 90+ degree heat.

Will Clark

Will Clark was my childhood hero since 1st grade. My first real baseball glove was a left handed first baseman's glove. I envisioned me being like Will Clark he was my Baseball God! I got a chance to meet Will the Thrill the other week and my heart was pumping as I relived my childhood in a millisecond. It was not as I wanted it to turn out. First of all I had been pulling out cold sodas from a large cooler to provide fans with drinks. And He comes to our booth I was like "F*CK YEAH! This is awesome!" in my head. Then HE comes into our booth and proceeds to shake hands with Gail's colleagues, Gail's Cousin, Gail's Cousin's Boyfriend, and I look down at my hands dug a foot deep in ice and was like "F*ck!*!" I can't shake his hand that's not cool (well actually my hands were frigging ice cold numb.) So I gave him a polite nod of the head and said, "Hi Will" and he went on saying hi to fans from that point on. I was so bummed.

Dad eats weird ummm... Salad??

OK today I went to my house to collect my mail and stuff and I ate cereal for lunch for lack of good food available at my house. My dad began to make a lunch for himself consisting of: left over beef stew, garbanzo beans(chick peas), ranch dressing, cold uncooked spam, tortilla bread, maybe some mixed vegetables and a little bit of Dijon mustard. I know you just threw up a little bit in your mouth. I know I did when I saw this....

My friends I give you proof he ate this putrid melange of left overs and I leave it with you now.

Working In San Francisco Bay Area

During the Summer I visited my Boy Scout units at summer camp. It gives me a chance to leave the city and enjoy the outdoors. And I get to see beautiful country roads such as this on my way to and from camp (Yes I was driving when I took this photo).

Another reason to love living and working in San Francisco. Dolores Street on a sunny day (Yes driving again).

Parking Woes

Today, on my way to Gail's house, I noticed this car on Highway 35 and Junipero Serra Blvd. Driving very slow so I passed the car up not thinking anything of it. So I park on the street at Gail's house and the same slow car that I saw passes by me (slowly as you may have guessed) and begins to park. I saw begins.

The lady attempts to park against the curb as I have done. Now mind you not parallel parking, just normal pull your car to the curb, turn your wheels, turn off your car, your done deal. I watch as She pulls in. I thought she was a pro at first because she got the distance to the curb down to about 1". And that would have been it. But no she Turns her wheel and backs up to rest hubcap on the sidewalk. I said a grueling "ohhh."

She gets out of the car. And I swear she was talking to herself in the reflection on the car window, criticizing her parking job. She gets back in, pulls forward a little with out turning the wheel and backs up again to the same spot she was before... She get out again and talks to her self again. Once again gets back in her car, this time pulling forward and turning the wheel. And gets distance from the curb. She parks half way done. (I say halfway because now the front of her car is at a weird angle and pointing into the street. She checks it over and begins to load her groceries out of the car. "OK I guess she is done." I think. She finishes up with the groceries, gets back into the car fixes her parking angle and seems to be done. She gets out again checks her parking again... And gets in again and moves her car back as I guess she was blocking the driveway in front of her.

It was a very interesting parking day in her life at least. I was just watching the whole time with my mouth open like "oh wow".

New Idea

I have finally thought of a blog that more suits me. A photo blog that will be more or less like a photo journal. I will be posting pictures, or video that I take, and some that I find that grab my attention. And maybe accompanying them with my sarcasms or witty comments when necessary. I will start loading pictures soon....
